1999 Australian National Champion Stallion

Sarezin, foaled in 1993, is the first purebred Arabian bred at Elmridge Stud. At five he was sashed Australian National Champion Stallion, placed first on the cards of Joanne Crockett (USA) and Emrys Jones from Wales. Emrys and his wife Sue's comments on Sarezin after the Championships were, "This is an exceptional horse, isn't it? Really great. He's got everything. He is big and masculine yet very smooth everywhere."

Photographs don't do full justice to Sarezin's impact in the flesh. Visitors to Elmridge fall in love with him for his beauty and presence and the sweetness of his temperament. To see Sarezin in a paddock surrounded by his mares and his look alike foals who inherit his size, glorious front, excellent conformation and lovely, chiselled head, is a truly heart warming sight.

Kate Campbell riding SarezinHe is a superb sire of both purebreds and derivatives. His foals, from a variety of mares, have been outstanding. The vast majority of his foals have been shown at the highest level with tremendous success. These include Syrah Arabians' Madaan and Azima, and his International Champion son, Saskatoon, who lives in Germany.

Lightly shown under saddle, 16 hand Sarezin has won Champion Hack in open company. He also took to showjumping like the natural athlete he is.

Available at stud:  $1,300 plus $130 GST purebreds. $650 plus $65 GST others.
