Cherox
Miguela (Mig) was acquired as a yearling in 1987 and was the first
purebred Arabian acquired by Syrah. Even at that young age, Mig's
outstanding movement was apparent, and this, coupled with her prettiness
and correct conformation led to her purchase. She was never properly
halter trained but still achieved A Class placings and was a consistent
award winner in AA classic trot classes. Interestingly, her pedigree
which is half Egyptian, quarter Spanish and quarter English, is packed
with horses renowned for movement from each of those bloodlines and
it is a characteristic she invariably passes on.
Her true forte is as a broodmare, particularly with Sarezin. Their sons Madaan and Mazhar are both Australian National Top Tens. Maazina was an A Class reserve Champion and a Nationals Top 5 in the two shows she attended with her amateur owner before injury halted her career. Miraak was an A Class Champion at his first show.
