I
first saw Marieshaah as a yearling at the East Coast Championships and
absolutely loved her. I saw her again at the Australian Championships in
1993 and she was even more beautiful. She then left the show ring and was
ably represented by her daughters, who have racked up an impressive list
of Championships at Australia's top shows.
Marieshaah's
mother was an incredibly beautiful mare in her own right, and interestingly
bred, going back to Nabiel, Fadjur and Saki on the tail female line. When
the opportunity to acquire Marieshaah arose in 2000, I jumped at the opportunity.
She then entered the ring again after a seven year absence, to win Top
5 Mare at the East Coast Championships under Cory Soltau. She was the oldest
mare in the class. She has since concentrated on producing beautiful babies. |
